One of the company’s most popular CSR activities is the Smart Travel Mothers’ Welfare Scheme, which pays regular salary to employees’ mothers, and employees can borrow to pay their mothers’ medical bills or to organize their mothers’ weddings.
In the same way, the company provides funds for qualified employees to take training in order to get their skills up to par and boost their careers.
During the unprecedented pandemic of 2003, its founder represented expatriates in Kerala’s court of law to relax travel restrictions, while the company played a critical role in helping families affected by floods.
Numerous stranded children in the UAE were reunited with their families thanks to Smart Travel. Expats returned home during the Covid-19 outbreak on 36 chartered flights chartered by the company.
In the hours prior to Covid-19’s travel restrictions taking effect, Smart Travel chartered nine flights to facilitate expatriate visa changes. As well as the tickets, 1300 needy people were given Dh930 each by the company.
Expats were empowered by Smart Travel to demand that the repatriation flight rate be no more than Dh750 by communicating intensely with the Indian Aviation Ministry, the Prime Minister’s Office, and the Kerala Chief Minister.
