McDonald’s is testing six new items starting from Dhs12 across the UAE

The new menu items will be available in 30 branches of the popular fast food restaurant in the UAE

Do you enjoy McArabias? Would you like a Big Mac and chicken McNuggets every now and then? McDonald’s is testing out six new menu items in the United Arab Emirates, so prepare for loads of new menu items from the world-renowned fast food chain. The new items are not meant to replace fries and burgers but rather rice and protein bowls, a move that is unusual, but not unprecedented (chains such as KFC and Wendy’s have been doing this for some time). Their choices appear to be influenced by a variety of widely loved cuisines.

There are a variety of options available to diners, including katsu curry chicken, teriyaki chicken, chili con carne, beef with mushroom sauce and beef with gravy as well as a vegetarian katsu curry option.

From today (Wednesday September 21) 30 UAE McDonald’s will be offering rice meals if the sound of them has your mouth watering.

The new items aren’t cheap, but they aren’t inaccessible either.

It costs Dhs19 if you wish to order by the a la carte menu, or Dhs22 if you wish to include a drink with your meal.

This value option is sure to be a winner for those who are watching the dirhams.

For those interested in sampling the new menu items in Dubai, there are several branches that are testing the rice bowls, including Jumeirah Beach, Al Ghurair Centre, Dubai Fashion City, Dubai Mall, Blue Tower, Spinneys, Deira CC, Mall of the Emirates ,
This includes Al Bustan, Dubai Hills, JBR Murjan, the IBN Battuta Metro Link, Al Barsha 2 and the ground floor of Dubai Airport Terminal 1.

As well as the King Faisal Sharjah City Center and the Sharjah Club, the Ajman Club and the Ajman City Centre are serving the new items, as well as Muntasir RAK and Tasjeel Khorfakkan.
In addition to Fujairah EPPCO, Umm Al Quwain, AUH/Al Ain, Khalidiya Street, Al Mariah Cinema, Abu Dhabi Mall, Dalma Mall 2, Al Wahda Mall Zakher, and Al Ain Khalifa Street are also included.

A rollout of the Rice Meals across more McDonald’s locations will be considered if the menu is well received.
